WOW! Kampung Baru Expo Malaysia 2026 @ Pavilion Bukit Jalil

The WOW! Kampung Baru Expo Malaysia 2026 will take place from 25–27 September 2026 at the Pavilion Bukit Jalil Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur, showcasing the unique charm and heritage of Malaysia’s new villages. Organized by KG‑ing, the expo brings together communities and industries from 26 villages nationwide, offering visitors a chance to experience traditional crafts, cultural performances, and local products.

Built around five curatorial themes — Home, Industry, Craft, Taste, and Habitat — the expo highlights village life through Cantonese opera, harmonica performances, 24 Festive Drums, and Kuala Sepetang’s “Ni Siap Community Fashion Walk”, which revives traditional mangrove bark dyeing. The event also features the “Drop By!” Village Market with 50 stalls selling food, crafts, and cultural products.

Designed for urban visitors, cultural enthusiasts, families, and heritage advocates, the expo emphasizes deeper understanding of village history, identity, and value. It also includes forums such as “Kampung Baru‑ing: The Future Is Already Happening”, exploring the future of new village communities and collective action.
