The Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) is Malaysia’s most iconic world music festival, set against the lush rainforest backdrop of Mount Santubong. Since its inception in 1998, RWMF has grown from a few hundred attendees to tens of thousands, becoming one of the Global Top 10 music festivals.

The 2026 edition, themed “Regenerations: Roots & Rhythms,” emphasizes reconnecting with cultural heritage while embracing contemporary musical expression. The festival features daytime workshops, cultural and craft displays, food stalls, and evening concerts on the main stage.
